Get Away with Buick and AIR MILES #DRIVEYOURAIRMILES

Getting away with Buick

This coming weekend is a holiday in Canada: It is the Victoria Day Weekend where we celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday! We always look forward to this long holiday weekend because it means the official kickoff of spring/summer travel for our family and many others. Last year we went to Lake George. It is only a 3 hour drive and the kids had so much fun at Six Flags! This upcoming holiday weekend we will hit the road too! Not an ordinary trip with our car though!   We are getting a new Buick Enclave to test drive for the long … [Read more...]

Activities for Kids in New York City

NYC Featured

My first visit to New York was in July 2012 for Blogher. While I was attending sessions and networking  my husband and kids were touring New York City! With so many fun activities for kids in the city, he didn't have a hard time filling those hours at all! To say that New York City is a huge city would be an understatement that clearly doesn't serve justice. Segmented by many towns, neighborhoods and regions, New York City has a massive layout offering thousands of activities and sight-seeing spots for both adults and … [Read more...]

Should You Stay at Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas?

Gaylord Texan Resort

Disclosure: OurFamilyWorld was not compensated for this post. We simply wanted to share! I had the opportunity to stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine (Dallas) for 4 nights. It was in late April, during the Blissdom Conference!  I have never visited the resort, as I've never been to Dallas. I didn't even look at the hotel pictures when I booked. I wanted the full surprise (like a child). The hotel is not far from the DFW airport, only about 9 miles. You can take a cab (costs around $25) or a shuttle ($11). I … [Read more...]

Gogobot: Plan the Perfect Vacation to Orlando and Walt Disney World, #GogobotTravel

Gogobot Disney

Orlando in the very near future. Specifically, I want to take the kids to Walt Disney World so they can experience the rides, meet the characters of their favorite Disney shows, and visit all the other attractions Orlando has to offer. Since this will be our first visit to Orlando and Walt Disney World, I have no idea what hotels I should stay at, which restaurants are kid-friendly, or how to find out which attractions are worth seeing. This is where Gogobot comes in; to help me find out the details, ratings, and even what my friends are … [Read more...]

Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista Downtown Review: We Will Go Back Soon

HotelRoom

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista Downtown from July 25th to 28th 2012. We arrived around 9pm after a day spent at the Wet'n Wild Orlando. We were totally exhausted and we just wanted to check in! When we arrived the staff was super friendly. They took the time to discuss with my son about Wet'nWilde and all the activities he did that day!  While I was checking in, my husband parked the car. It was quick and easy. Then we headed to the room! It was at the 11th floor with a pool view.We arrived just on time for the … [Read more...]

Visiting Disney With Two Kids of Different Age Ranges

DisneyMagicKingdom

My kids are 11 and 4 (almost 5). When I announced that we would be visiting Disney, they jumped and were excited. My daughter wanted to see the princesses and my son wanted to try the new Star wars games. Tough deal! How to satisfy them both? My son already visited Magic Kingdom few years ago. He enjoyed it and even took some rides with his dad! I reminded him that back then he couldn’t do some rides because he wasn’t old enough. Done deal! He was convinced to go to Magic Kingdom. What I didn’t tell my son that I had Park Hopper tickets. … [Read more...]

#GoHondaCRV part 1: Bears, Beavers and Spa! Not in the car!

Beavers

A few weeks ago, Six bloggers (including me) were invited to a special event organized by Honda Canada to test the new Honda CRV. It was not the usual test drive where you take the car and you test on your own. Honda Canada team organized a road trip that enabled us to test the HondaCRV, its comfort, its loading capacity and other options during a magical road trip to Sacacomie Hotel. The hotel overlooks the majestic Sacacomie Lake and its 42 km coastline. Each blogger was paired with another one. It started with an exercise: loading the … [Read more...]

SeaWorld Orlando: A beautiful theme park to enjoy shows and have fun

Fish at SeaWorld Orlando

This summer, my family and I took our first major road trip!: 6,000 km (about 3728 miles) in 18 days: From Montreal to Florida. We are still unwinding from this beautiful trip and I am slowly sharing with you our experience, photos and visits. One of our favorite stops was at SeaWorldOrlando. I was looking forward to this visit as my last one was 14 years ago where I visited SeaWorld SandDiego. I was looking forward to the Shamu shows as I was impressed by them. Usually when we visit theme parks with kids, we do not take the time to watch … [Read more...]

Wet ‘n Wild Orlando: A Water Park for all the family members.

WetnWildethemepark

We arrived at Wet'nWilde around noon after driving from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando. It was a 3 hour drive! The kids were already tired and hungry. Luckily I had prepared some sandwiches and drinks for the trip and saved them in a cooler. The park allows coolers, which was a great way for us to save money on drinks and food! We parked the car.  The parking is 5 minutes walk from the entrance . To save time and energy for little ones, your partner and kids can stay in the line for tickets while you go park your car. As soon as we arrived we … [Read more...]
