This coming weekend is a holiday in Canada: It is the Victoria Day Weekend where we celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday! I had the opportunity to stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine (Dallas) for 4 nights. It was in late April, during the Blissdom Conference!  I have never visited the resort, as I've never been to Dallas. I didn't even look at the hotel pictures when I booked. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista Downtown from July 25th to 28th 2012. We arrived around 9pm after a day spent at the Wet'n Wild Orlando. We were totally exhausted and we just wanted to check in! When we arrived the staff was super friendly. My kids are 11 and 4 (almost 5). When I announced that we would be visiting Disney, they jumped and were excited. This summer, my family and I took our first major road trip!: 6,000 km (about 3728 miles) in 18 days: From Montreal to Florida. Wet ‘n Wild Orlando: A Water Park for all the family members.

We arrived at Wet'nWilde around noon after driving from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando. It was a 3 hour drive! The kids were already tired and hungry. Luckily I had prepared some sandwiches and drinks for the trip and saved them in a cooler. The park allows coolers, which was a great way for us to save money on drinks and food! We parked the car.  The parking is 5 minutes walk from the entrance . To save time and energy for little ones, your partner and kids can stay in the line for tickets while you go park your car.
