I’m sharing #lobsterworthy moments in my life as part of a Red Lobster sponsored series for Socialstars™
Red Lobster is quickly becoming my new favorite restaurant. I am not sure what took me so long to go; I love seafood. There just wasn’t one close enough to me, or anyone who liked seafood as much as I do to take me to one. Thankfully I have found someone who has a love of seafood as well. I see much more Red Lobster visits in my future!
Celebrate Lobsterfest at Red Lobster!
My birthday celebration continues, for dinner this time. I had heard so much about Red Lobster’s Lobsterfest dishes; I needed to taste some!
Looking at the menu was so hard to choose. Do I want rock lobster or Maine lobster? Do I want it grilled or mixed pasta? So many choices! Thankfully my date couldn’t decide either, so we got 2 great plates with lots of lobster to share.
But first, we started with a Lobster Punch, one of Red Lobster’s signature Lobsterfest drinks. The waitress kindly informed us it was the most popular, so that is what we ordered. It was delicious! We shared it; I didn’t want to spoil my dinner with drinks and apps. Next came stuffed mushrooms. These were an excellent segue into our main course.
Thankfully the serving was just enough to be good and appetizing (clearly the reason they are named appetizers). The service was prompt as well. Nothing can be more annoying when you are waiting on food long after the empty appetizer plate has been taken away. We didn’t feel rushed either, though, it was just about perfect.
Then out came our Lobsterfest entrees. I chose the Wood-grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Salmon and my date chose the Lobster Lover’s Dream.
My Maine lobster tail was exactly how I remembered fresh Maine lobster to be (I grew up on the northern east coast). Now living in Florida, the rock lobster was new to me but still very good!
Everything on my plate was so good; I had a hard time sharing it I wanted it all to myself. But I gave in and shared because he was sharing his as well. I cleaned my plate, though, pretty sure I would have licked it clean if I wouldn’t have received some funny stares from other patrons trying to enjoy a nice dinner.
If you have not been to Red Lobster lately, now is the time to go! You are missing out on their Lobsterfest campaign if you don’t.
