Kiddie Academy prides itself on maintaining a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for the children that spend their days learning there. However, it can be difficult to maintain such an atmosphere once you start growing with leaps and bounds. Read this article to learn how one couple manages to do just that with their Kiddie Academy franchise.
Kiddie Academy Case Study – Jill and George Malanga
On a warm summer day in July, a great thing happened on 233 Sparta Avenue in Sparta, New Jersey. Jill and George Malanga opened their Kiddie Academy franchise! This gutsy move brought quality, educational based child care to the Sparta, New Jersey area. They were able to open a second location at 179 Cahill Cross Road in West Milford, New Jersey in September of 2004. The Malangas differ from owners of other child care facilities in the area because they treat each parent and child as a member of their own family. They regularly go above and beyond the call of duty to provide the best possible service.
Before becoming a Kiddie Academy franchise, Jill owned a NutriSystem franchise. After the birth of her son, she decided to focus her attention to the care of her first child. Unfortunately, when she was trying to select a child care facility for her son, she didn’t find any suitable options in her area. This prompted her to open a Kiddie Academy franchise both for her son and for the other parents in the community looking for a higher quality child care facility for their kids. Her husband George, decided to follow in her footsteps with a second location shortly after he retired from being a high school teacher. The Malangas know that their decision to become Kiddie Academy franchisees was the right one every time they see a satisfied parent or hear a child laugh.
Goals & Challenges
Giving parents peace of mind is George and Jill’s top priority. They meet regularly with parents to get insight on how to provide the best possible service. They even waive tuition for any student with a parent serving in the military overseas. Since enrollment at both Kiddie Academy locations are nearing capacity, the Malangas are thinking about opening a third location in the community.
One of Jill’s toughest challenges is to maintain Kiddie Academy’s nurturing, cozy atmosphere since she operates one of the largest facilities in the United States. The company’s hands-on approach and innovative curriculum keeps the academies personal and inviting. Jill and George want each parent and child to continue to get that special feeling of belonging to their Kiddie Academy community.
Jill’s constant push to make her academy the best has certainly paid off. Parents and children rave about events such as date nights, shopping days, pancake breakfasts, and the end of the year recitals. This hard work has paid off in the form of awards and smiles from her clients.
Kiddie Academy makes it possible to focus on both professional growth and personal growth. You can earn money and spend time with your family. You can also make a positive impact on your community by providing a safe place for parents to leave their child while they work.
