With my son out of school for the summer, I’m always looking for educational opportunities that are FUN. He worked hard all school year, so I don’t want him to feel like I’m making him work on his vacation. He loves reading, so I try to encourage him to do that as much as possible. The problem is, we have very different interests, so I have a hard time coming up with book suggestions for him!
The experts at Zoobean, on the other hand, are awesome at suggesting book and apps for kids. In fact, that’s pretty much their entire mission- to curate apps, books and educational resources based on YOUR child’s likes and dislikes.
Zoobean: Their Experts “Get” Your Kids
Let’s be honest, your child is going to learn a lot more if they are engaged in the material. As parents, we try to keep up with kids’ changing tastes and find resources that will interest them. Sometimes, though, we just don’t “get it.” Other times, we don’t even know where to start.
Zoobean not only knows where to start, but they totally “get” your kid. When you sign up for their awesome Zoobean Expert subscription, you get to tell their experts all about your child. Take my advice and have your child with you when you do this, that way you’re getting their actual interests and not just the ones you think they’re interested in.
Once you do that, expert curators will start building Smartlists for your child. I actually received an email from a REAL person asking me a bit more about my son’s interests. I LOVE that! It shows me that an actual human with experience in educational resources is taking the time and care to create personalized Smartlists that will appeal to my son.
It does take a day or so to get those lists set up, again because they’re giving it actual attention. In the meantime, though, you can browse through the Kits. Your Expert Subscription gives you access to all the kits they have. Each kit is based around a specific theme. I chose one on Egypt and also one on dealing with divorce. Even though I split up with Jacob’s father 5 years ago, he’s reaching an age where now he wants to know why and understand more.
Next, I checked out the Library tab. You can either look for books or apps. I chose apps.
You can either just browse, or refine your search by platform, age, interest and languages. If you see an app that interests you, click on it to get a ton of great info. Find out about the themes in the app, why it’s recommended and so much more.
The fantastic part about all this The cost of Zoobean Expert subscription is just $25 a year! They also have other subscriptions, including a home delivery service that includes everything in the Expert subscription plus one book a month delivered to your home. Check out Zoobean pricing to see all the options.

My son loves interactive books. He also loves Goodnight Moon.
I don’t have children and my nieces and nephews are all grown :( but this looks like a really great idea for today’s kids
I agree that I want my son to continue learning over the break. I do not, either, want it to be taxing for him. This sounds great.
