Even though I raised two girls, I still got my share of playing with monster truck. I did not limit what type of toys that my girls played with. I also had many little boys that went through the day-cares I worked at. I was always looking for new monster truck activities.
Playtime! – Monster Truck Activities Outside
Pick up that bucket of monster trucks and head outside. A fun activity with your trucks is to draw out a town and roads with sidewalk chalk. Be sure to include your house in the town. It is almost as much fun to design the town as to drive your trucks in it. If one child doesn’t want to play with trucks they might just enjoy drawing with the sidewalk chalk.
Of course these vehicles of fun were meant for off road play. In this monster truck activity, your little one can create obstacles to drive their trucks over. Sticks, small rocks, rivers of water, all make for great fun. If you have a gentle slope to your driveway then two trucks can race down through obstacles to see which can make it past the obstacles without wrecking.
Craft time! – Monster Truck Activities with Arts and Crafts
A fun monster truck activity is to run the truck through a puddle of tempra paint. Then you can roll it back and forth on a large sheet of craft paper or newsprint. Be careful mixing too many colors though or you will just have a muddy mess. Of course if that is what your little artist wants to create, then don’t stifle their creativity.

For another monster truck activity you could create buildings and other things for your trucks to crush. Wrap empty food boxes in newsprint and decorate them so that the object is recognizable before it is crushed under the weight of your monster truck. Try creating buses, garages, or barrels and other items of your child’s design.
Return of Playtime! – Monster Truck Activities Inside
More monster truck activity obstacles can be made with the pillows and other things laying around the house. What is the most unusual obstacle that your monster truck has conquered? Mom and Dad need to set some ground rules about breakable items in the house. When you have played all day with your monster trucks, it is time for the cleanest monster truck activity. Jump in a bathtub with a shallow amount of water. Use some soft soap and a washrag to scrub all surfaces of the truck. Then you can rinse it off with the shower from a watering pot. You and your toys will be ready for another day filled with monster truck activities.

I’m glad to see that you didn’t limit your kids to gender specific toys. They are just little kids – my little guy sometimes in a dress, though not often, and mostly plays with his trucks and cars. My daughters are too interested in his toys but they are occasionally. It’s just all good creative fun.
