I am the youngest child of my family. I have one brother and 2 sisters. My brother is 11 years older than me, my sisters: 9 and 5 years older. As a child, I didn’t have the chance to play with them but I was lucky to get all their toys and those cute dolls: barbies! I didn’t have to share with them since they were too old to play with!
I loved playing with Barbie because she had nice hair and clothes. The first thing I did when I got a new Barbie was undress her and give her new outfits! I wanted to be a fashion designer! Then I put all my Barbies next one another and pretended it was a fashion show! It was hilarious because the outfits I put were , um, not cute at all!! But it was hours of fun for me, and that’s what is about: having fun!
My daughter loves Barbie too! She can spend long hours playing . She likes changing their outfits but her favorite play is combing their hair. My daughter has curly short hair. What she loves the most about Barbie’s dolls is their long blond hair! She pretends to be their private hairdresser and she loves it! Then she makes sure to dress them and make them drink some tea in their home!
I smile when I watch her playing with Barbie! I smile when I see her singing songs to her doll, brushing her hair and looking for ways to make her feel comfortable. Barbie is about creativity and imagination! Sometimes I play with her and she loves it: it’s one of the best moments ever!
