Every baby cries at some point. Crying is how they let us know what they need during those early months. Some babies cry more often than others. My son had colic for about 5 weeks, so he definitely had his fair share of red-faced cries! I try not to remember that time too much.
As a mom, I’ve done everything to End the Red from singing and dancing to outright bribery. When Jacob was really little, though, I found a trick that almost always worked! Every Halloween since he was 4-months old, I’ve taken him Trick or Treating in my friend’s neighborhood.
On Jacob’s second Halloween, he was just over a year old. For some reason, he was really upset with me. I don’t know if something scared him or if he was getting hot in his monkey costume while we were prepping to go out, but he just burst into the saddest little face.
Literally a minute later, he was all smiles! Why? He loved getting his picture taken! He was a little ham from day one. As long as the camera was on him, he was smiles. I think he just wanted to rob me of photographic evidence proving that he wasn’t an angel 24/7.
End the Red with Balmex Diaper Rash Cream
Jake had a lot of red-faced moments during his babyhood, but one thing he didn’t have is a red hiney! I’ve always used Balmex to fight diaper rash at the first sight of redness on his little behind. Balmex Diaper Rash Cream is actually proven to reduce the redness in just ONE diaper change, which is pretty spectacular in my opinion. It helps treat and prevent diaper rash irritation with ActivGuard, a Balmex-exclusive formula that helps neutralize the harmful irritants found in dirty diapers.
Balmex Diaper Rash Cream is also made with doctor-recommended zinc oxide, plus soothing natural ingredients like botanicals and vitamins B5 and E. It goes on smoothly and wipes of easily, which means no gunky, goopy mess for you! Don’t let a red bottom become the source of a red face! Fight irritation. End the red. Use Balmex instead!

Hmm I’m going to recommend this to my sister!
this sounds like a great product to use
Balmex sounds like a great diaper rash cream for sure. I will have to share this with my nieces and my sister who have little ones. Thanks for sharing.
We always had to use diaper cream for our son. His skin was so sensitive and prone to rash.
Kids are all so different-I never needed it with my daughter but my son seems to always be a little red. I think they just like to keep us on our toes!
Awww he must have been over heated but glad at the end you fixed the problem. This reminds me of my son’s first couple of years halloween, he never wanted to get in any costume.
Diaper rashes are horrible. Poor babies. When my first was about 3 mths old he had a bad one and had to be left without any diaper for a fortnight – talk about washing! It did help though :-)
I actually haven’t heard of this diaper rash cream before but I’ll be sure to check it out next time I’m shopping. This might work better on my son than the previous creams.
that outfit is terribly cute
Diaper rash creams are so important! I found that the pastes work the best!
This single girl in the city has no kids so I would have no idea what to do really except call their moms! This is exactly why I always make sure the little ones are healthy before I accept any baby-sitting detail! LOL
Sweet baby, poor little fella. Diaper rashes are the worst, I have found this and boudrouxs butt pasts to work wonders! Keeping them dry is key!
This diaper cream sounds great! Thankfully my daughter very rarely had rashes… But when she did ughh…. Poor thing :-/
Although I do not have a baby this diaper rash cream is great for those skin allergy rashes! Thanks for sharing your post!
Balmex is the best diaper rash cream. I always add it to the baby shower gift baskets i make.
I hated when my kids had diaper rash. I remember trying a number of different brands til I found 1 that really worked well.
Diaper rash is NOT fun, and my family swears by Balmex! I feel it works even better than Desitin. Great review! :)
Diaper rash is a horrible thing that babies have to suffer from. Thanks for letting us know about Balmex. This would greatly help protect babies from diaper rash!
Diaper rash is no fun! I like that this one works in as little as 1 diaper change :) I’m going to a baby shower soon and this would be a great addition to my gift bag!
Great idea! A lot of people like to give cute clothes and stuffed animals. New moms need the essentials as well!
I just applied some diaper rash cream on my daughter. I haven’t tried this brand, sounds like something I will try in the future
We have been very fortunate with very minor diaper rashes but it is good to know about a great product.
This sounds like great stuff to keep around. Those diaper rashes can be such a nightmare!
This is an amazing diaper cream! My boys are out of diapers but my littlest still gets an irritated behind once in a while and I reach for Balmex immediately!
This is true! It is not just for the babies, I have a 6 year old who sometimes has a need for diaper rash cream. It is a good thing to keep around :)
This is a great diaper cream. I’ve seen some nasty rashes with my daycare kids, and Balmex always does the job!
DIaper rash is the worst. I always felt so bad for my kids when they had it.
Diaper rash is the worst. My youngest got it so bad, I actually just left the diaper off and crossed my fingers just to get a little air flow going.
I haven’t heard of this before, but it sounds like it works well. It would be a great addition to a gift basket for a baby shower.
Diaper rashes are awful :( My kids are older now, but I used to use Desitin on them. I am not sure that they had Balmex back then, but it looks like it works very well!
