Sheet Pan-Pot Roast

Ingredients:
- 1 Boneless Chuck Roast (about 3-4lbs), trimmed
- 5-6 Red Potatoes
- 4 Large Carrots
- 1 Large Onion
- 2 Cups Water
- Salt and Pepper
Directions:
- Wash and slice your potatoes, carrots, and onion. Your potatoes and onion should be sliced into medium sized squares while your carrots should be cut long ways and then long ways a second time. They should then be chopped into sections of about 1-inch.
- Place your tin foil over your cookie sheet. Scatter your chopped veggies across the cookie sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Pour about 2 cups of water over the top of the veggies, evenly.
- Slice your thawed pot roast into about ½-inch thick slices. Bury each slice in between the veggies.
- Cover your cookie sheet with tin foil.
- Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.

Amazingly simple, right? Seriously, there’s very little room for human error here, which makes this the perfect recipe for newbie cooks! When you’re choosing the meat, you don’t HAVE to go with chuck roast specifically. Briskets and Rounds also work well. Chuck is usually cheaper, though, and it does have the perfect flavor for a pot roast. The key is to choose tougher cuts of meat because the baking process will make them tender. If you choose something that is already too tender, it’s likely to get mushy.
