Looking for a way to get your kids to eat more bananas? You absolutely have to try this three-ingredient Peanut Butter Kiwi Banana Ice-cream recipe! The secret is in the peanut butter! See, I didn’t use just any peanut butter to give this recipe a hint of saltiness: I used creamy, delicious Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey.
Here’s the story: each week I buy bananas, hoping that my kids will eat them. But it seems like this fruit ripens so fast that my loved ones don’t even dare to touch it. My son can’t stand it when the bananas get those black spots, and my daughter does not like when it is too soft. You would think it is a lost battle, but I never give up.
I find that bananas are filling and are a must have in my family’s diet. Since every one of them loves ice cream (and who doesn’t) and the weather is getting nicer, I thought I would make them an excellent banana ice cream recipe. If I top it with their favourite Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey, they will be in heaven. And they were! This is the trick with my kids: I need to be creative to reach my goals: providing them with a balanced diet.
I was right! They loved every bite of this Three-ingredient Banana Kiwi Peanut Butter Ice-cream. What’s not to love about it! It is smooth, delicious and homemade. The best part? No need for an ice-cream machine! It’s ready within minutes and gobbled within seconds! Of course, each one of them added a spoon of Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey as a topping! Then they used the same spoon to eat the ice cream! Can you imagine the delicious taste it had? I will leave it to your imagination. In the meantime, let me share the simple instructions for this homemade dessert.
Three- ingredient Peanut Butter, Kiwi and Banana Ice-cream recipe
- Four ripe bananas.
- Two tablespoons of Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey
- Two kiwis
- Dice the bananas
- Slice the kiwis
- Store them in a freezer bag or airtight container for about 30 minutes
- Put the three ingredients in a blender.
- Blend well. Scrape down the sides. If you have hard time blending, consider adding one or two tablespoons of milk.
- Transfer to a large bowl and finish smashing everything with a fork if necessary. My blender was not powerful enough.
- Serve immediately.
I cannot believe how easy this recipe is! It came out as a delicious, smooth and tasty homemade ice cream. I used the same Kraft Peanut Butter with Honey jar for my chocolate bar recipe.
