Smoothies are a great way to start your morning when you’re pregnant, and this delicious vegan raspberry smoothie is one of my favorites! It’s not just bursting with yummy, healthy berries; it also packs a great protein punch. When I was pregnant, I craved raspberries. I could not get enough of them. I ate them right from the box (after washing), in my yogurt, on my crepes, in my salads. I added them to almost every dish I ate. You would think I was obsessed. I was, and it was hilarious because my husband loves this fruit but he ended up not eating much during my first pregnancy. I could not resist it.
Having tried all kinds of raspberry recipes, my favorite is the smoothie. It really quenched my thirst and gave me the right energy to kick off my day. I was always dragging my feet when I was pregnant, and the smoothie helped. Back then, I was working in an office, and I had to be in some shape to get some work done! I am not saying that this is a medicine for pregnant women, I am just sharing my experience. Of course, anyone can drink this vegan raspberry smoothie! It has lots of nutrients, and it is perfect for those hot summer days too. Let’s see how you can prepare it in no time.

- ½ cup soy
vanilla ice cream (you can also use a nut or coconut ice cream as well)
- One sprig of fresh mint, mulled
- 1/2 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup almond, soy or coconut milk
- 2 ounces of silken tofu
(you can use soft, semi-firm or firm)

- ½ cup vegan yogurt
- 1/3 cup ice
- 1/2 cup orange juice (optional)
Make it
Add all ingredients to your blender, NutriBullet or another favorite machine that blends things. Make sure the ice is completely blended to avoid big chunks of ice in your smoothie.
