Baby Born in Amniotic Sac is Simply Breathtaking!

Have you seen this incredible video that a nurse captured of a baby born in the amniotic sac? What an amazing birth story! Check it out!

OMG! This has got to be the most beautiful thing in this world. I will admit, at first I was hesitant to watch the video because I get grossed out pretty easily. The baby was born on Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Barretos, Brazil. The baby was born in the amniotic sac and is actually a twin, with the twin being born just moments before naturally. Neither sex of the twins has been revealed as of yet.

Breathtaking Birth Story Caught on Film

One of the attending nurses, Gih Flor de Lis, was allowed to film the amazing moment and she immediately posted the video on her Facebook page. As of this writing, the video has had 441,697 views. Her Facebook page shows she is employed as a nurse at the Santa Casa de Misericordia de Barretos, assumingly where the twins were also born.

On her Facebook post, the excited and happy nurse wrote, “Look what I had the honour of filming in my dear Santa House Mercy. We were waiting to stabilize the first baby and the second came quietly, in fact, look how beautiful!!! Historic moment! !!!”

Being born in the amniotic fluid, also known as en-caul, is very rare. In fact, it only occurs in 1 out of every 80,000 births. Normally during childbirth, the amniotic sac will break on its own, also known as a mother’s water breaking. If the birth occurs during caesarean, the doctor will use a scalpel to gently pierce the amniotic sac.

In the video, you can clearly see the baby through the clear amniotic sac. The baby does not seem to be in any distress at all and you can even see the baby move a couple of times. The baby is receiving oxygen through the umbilical cord, which is still attached.

Back in February of this year, another baby was also born inside the amniotic sac. In this video, you can see the baby not only moving around inside the clear amniotic sac, but you can even see the baby yawning at one point. Also in the video, the doctor is seen using surgical scissors to make a small hole in the amniotic sac and within a second, the baby slips out of the sac and takes his first breath. It is truly one of the most touching moments I have ever seen on video.

The video was posted on Facebook by user Jasmine Perez on February 16, 2016. As of this writing, this video has had 26,245,705 views.

Isn’t this extraordinary? Have you ever seen anything like this? Whether you experienced a historical birth or just had an incredible “wow” moment of your own, we’d love to hear about it in the comments!

I’m glad that the nurse captured that moment for the family. I’m sure it was a traumatic incident at the time but if they baby is fine that’s all that counts.

Capturing your baby’s birth is amazing! There’s nothing better than seeing that to relive the day that you were given another human being to take care of. This video is rare and amazing! I can’t believe the baby is still in he sac.
