The Brothers Grimm

The Brothers Grimm is a 2005 adventure fantasy movie that is an exaggerated version of the Brothers Grimm, who were most famous for the folk tales of Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Cinderella. The movie is about Jake and Will Grimm, a pair of con artists who travel near and far. They find themselves encountering a fairy-tale curse which forces them to use courage instead of bogus exorcisms. The Brothers Grimm stars Heath Ledger as Jake Grimm and Matt Damon as Will Grimm.

The BFG

The BFG (which stands for Big Friendly Giant) is a 2016 movie based on the classic children’s book by Roald Dahl. The story follows Sophie, a girl who encounters the BFG who, despite his scary looks, turns out to be a kind and gentle soul considered an outcast by other giants because he doesn’t want to eat kids. We loved this movie so much that we created a yummy movie treat for it: a Raspberry Frobscottle drink!

If you like movies based on best-selling fantasy books, you’ll love the Golden Compass. Released in 2007, the film was adapted from Philip Pullman’s first book in the His Dark Materials trilogy.
