Fun fruit recipes for kids are a great way to get them to eat healthy! We tend to eat with our eyes as well as we our mouth. It is true for kids too: they want visual appealing recipes to entice them to try them. My 6 year-old daughter is always excited to eat funny recipes we prepare together. We even go to the library and search for books featuring fun fruit recipes for kids! It is one of her favorite activities.

The following fun fruit recipes for kids are so easy to prepare. They are mom approved as they are healthy and contain fruits. They are kid approved as they have a nice presentation, funny and delicious.

Bagel Face with Banana and Raspberry

Ingredients

  • 1 Bagel
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 banana
  • handful of raspberries

Make this fun recipe

  • In a non stick pan (already spread with a cooking spread), add the bagel and put the eggs in the holes.
  • Cook for few minutes

Egg Mask with Kiwi

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 kiwi diced
  • handful of blueberries (link to our blueberry posts)

Make this fun recipe

  • In a non stick pan, cook the eggs.
  • Transfer to a plate. Decorate with blueberry and kiwi

Crepe banana face

This is one of my daughter’s favorite fun fruit recipes for kids!  Prepare the crepes as per the directions in this crepe recipe post. Decorate with bananas and blueberries as the picture. Use honey or maple syrup for the mouth.

Waffle Fun

I found this Black & Decker waffle maker on sale for $20. It was a deal. Besides my daughter has been asking for it for ages. I baked a batch and froze half of it. It is very convenient.

Ingredients for the batter

  • 2 cups  of flower
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 2 cups of milk

Make this fun fruit recipe for kids

  • Mix the dry ingredients
  • Add the wet ones
  • cook the waffles

Decorate with fruits. You can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Raspberry crepe

For this one, just use the basic batter crepe recipe  and top with raspberries. How easy is that?

  4. I don’t know about kids–but I would enjoy eating each and every one of those fun meals up there–you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy these kinds of things!!

  5. I love these yummy dishes, they look like so much fun to eat! My kids would love them :-). Getting them to eat fruit can be difficult, so anything that makes it easier is a win in my books!
