Looking for a creative Thanksgiving dessert recipe that the kids will go crazy over? These Turkey Doughnuts are insanely adorable, yet crazy easy to make!
My son LOVES Thanksgiving. He’s one of the pickiest eaters I’ve ever met, but he adores every single dish that my mom makes for the holiday. Stuffing, corn casserole, even sweet potato casserole! The only things he doesn’t love are the desserts. Like most families, pies reign supreme at the Thanksgiving dessert table, and Jake just isn’t a fan. I feel bad that he doesn’t get to end the meal with a sweet treat, so I usually just buy some cupcakes for him. This Thanksgiving, though, I’ll make him these Turkey Doughnuts! He loves chocolate-covered doughnuts and candy corn is one of his top 5 favorite candies. Let’s see how easy it is to make, then you can print out the recipe card for later!

So cute, right? Yet easy enough to whip up in a few minutes. The wattle (that little thing that hangs from a turkey’s beak) is the most time-consuming part. If you’re really pressed for time, you could skip the mixing and just use a piece of red taffy or other candy that you can flatten and reshape. These turkey doughnuts would make a great sweet treat for a school party, too, don’t you think? Just make sure your child’s school allows you to send in homemade treats. A lot of them don’t anymore, which makes me a little sad.
