Ingredients Needed for Base for These Christmas Recipes:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 squares unsweetened melted chocolate
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions To Make Christmas Cupcakes:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl except for the eggs and melted chocolate.
  • Put cupcake liners in a muffin tin and pour the mixture in each of them, just covering the bottom of each liner.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Once it cools, add frosting, sprinkles, chocolate chips or other decorations.

Directions To Make Christmas Tree Cake:

Follow the above directions, but instead of pouring the mixture in a muffin tin, you will pour it in a Christmas tree mold. Depending on how large your mold is, you may need to bake the Christmas tree cake a little longer. If you do, keep it every minute so it doesn’t burn! Remember to add the decorations once it cools!
