  • 1/4 cup of margarine.
  • 1/3 cup of brown sugar

  • Decorate and bake for 10 minutes.

Yields about 12 cookies. It can yield more if you use small cookie cutters but my daughter wanted large ones.

While these Christmas cookies will be perfect for Santa, they can also be a great edible gift idea. The teachers, the neighbor or the hostess in your lives will be happy to enjoy your delicious homemade treats. Make sure to buy a nice box from the Dollar store or Amazon and you have a nice budget friendly gift idea. Make sure to double the ingredients as you will end up eating a bunch right from the oven!

  1. TOO MUCH SALT I made these tonight and they were soon salty–i didn’t even use near as much as it called for. My poor little guy was crying because he was so excited to eat one and then couldn’t.

  5. Remember to use pure honey. Most all commercial brands have other things added, such as corn syrup. You also don’t want to use honey imported from China. Look it up – you’ll be amazed at the way honey has been contaminated – and our labeling laws are far from adequate. Look for local honey to be sure it’s pure!

  7. Those really do look yummy! With the incredible amount of sugar my family will be ingesting in the next few weeks, it’d be nice to have a healthier option for us.
