The Grinch holds a special place in my heart. It’s one of the first Christmas movies that I remember watching as a kid, along with A Charlie Brown Christmas. Not to get all “in my day” on you, but back then we had to wait for the specials to come on television. My son will never know what it is like to wait all year to watch his favorite holiday specials, to know that if he misses them, he has to wait until next year. He thinks nothing of popping in a Christmas movie in the middle of March! I’m totally okay with that, though. Sometimes you just need a little Christmas in the middle of the year, right?

Anyway, I digress! Back to these crazy fun Grinch cookies! If you’re looking for a super simple Christmas dessert that the kids can help make, you can’t go wrong with these. Since they’re bar cookies, you really can’t get them wrong. While my mom makes like 18 different types of cookies in all sorts of magical shapes, I am really only accomplished at making bar and drop cookies. Let’s check out the recipe, shall we?
