Peppermint Kisses Christmas Recipe for Kids

Ingredients
  • 1 C unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 C white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 egg
  • 3 C flour
  • 1 tsp cream of tarter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • green white and red nonpareil  sprinkles.
  • peppermint bark Hershey kisses

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • In a standing mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla, egg and peppermint extract
  • Add in the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda
  • Mix by hand until fully combined.
  • Add in a little bit more flour if dough is still sticky.
  • Take a small ice cream scoop and scoop out some dough.
  • Roll into a ball and then roll the dough ball in the sprinkles in a bowl until fully coated
  • Place onto tray and bake for 8-10 minutes
  • While cookies are baking, unwrap the kisses
  • When cookies are done, place a kiss on each cookie.
  • Let cool for 15 minutes before enjoying
