By now, I’m sure you’ve heard of the butterbeer Harry Potter drink. It’s pretty much the most famous wizarding beverage from the series. Did you know that it also works perfectly as a Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them drink recipe? After all, the upcoming movie is basically a prequel to the original stories! If you’re planning a viewing party, you’ll definitely want to include this recipe!

Right now, my son is in the midst of another Harry Potter marathon. He just discovered a passion for the movies a few months ago and has since watched the entire series about four times. His timing couldn’t be better, since Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them comes out next month, on November 18th. As a massive Potter fan, I’m looking forward to this movie more than words can express, so I’m excited that I can share it with my son!

For our Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them drink, we put a new seasonal spin on the classic butterbeer recipe. Instead of using butterscotch, we made it into a pumpkin butterbeer! Check it out, then print out the recipe card for later.

You can order chocolate frogs on Amazon, did you know that? They’re kind of pricey, though. Another idea: make your own. Grab this mold, then just melt some melting chocolate, fill the molds, let them cool and eat.

My brother got me this book for Christmas two years ago. I haven’t had a chance to make many of the recipes in it yet, but now that my son is really into the movies, I’m going to start working my way through it. It has everything from tasty drinks to actual dinner recipes.

  1. I hope this tastes better than the stuff they sell at the Harry Potter Worlds / Studios. Oh gosh, we shared one cup between three and it was hard going!

  2. My girls are huge fans and they will absolutely love this! I would like to make this for them this Halloween. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it. Thanks for the recipe!

  3. I have never heard or tried something like this. Sounds interesting with the imitation butter, cream soda, and pumpkin.
