St. Patrick’s Day Meals for Large Families
Dublin Coddle Crock Pot
This meal is easy to make in the crock pot the night before your St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Love how Amee adds in fun facts about the background of the tradition of the Dublin Coddle! If you prefer to make large healthy meals for St. Patrick’s Day, you could sub out the regular bacon for turkey bacon.
Irish Lamb Stew
With simple ingredients and an even simpler recipe, this is possibly one of the easiest St. Patrick’s day meals for large families ever. Just double the recipe to make it stretch further for more people.
Corned Beef Cabbage Pizza
Who doesn’t love pizza, right? How about taking that love for pizza and using it to introduce traditional Irish fare? The great part? You can make multiple pizzas to serve crowds, customizing each one for different tastes. Here’s a hint: you can buy pizzeria-style dough from your grocery store. Just go to the deli counter (if they serve pizza) and ask for thawed dough (or frozen, if you’re making it days later).
Guinness Beef Stew
One of the most traditional St. Patrick’s Day meals for large families: beef stew! It does have one bottle of Guinness in it, but the alcohol burns out during the cooking process. If you’re concerned, though, you can swap it out and add in extra beef stock.
Corned Beef with Horseradish
Finally, you can never go wrong with corned beef! Kalyn tells you how to make it in a pressure cooker for faster prep. That way, you can get in and out of the kitchen fast and spend more time playing fun St. Patrick’s Day party games with your guests!
These five St. Patrick’s Day meals for large families are fun ways to celebrate the Irish and try something different on the holiday. You’ll notice, though, that they all have meat in them. That Guinness Beef Stew looks amazing, and is so very Irish! Love the idea of putting corned beef and cabbage on a pizza. Super clever!
These all look so delicious. That beef stew especially.
I haven’t tried any Irish food yet but I would love to! All these looks great! Especially the corn hash beef pizza!
All looks delish! Will definitely try them out! Thanks for sharing!
I don’t know if I could eat a corned beef and cabbage pizza I will be honest. The other dishes all sound like great Irish dishes but the pizza sounds a bit too different for me – perhaps it’s the idea of cabbage on a pizza.
The cabbage pizza sounds different where did you get the inspiration for that from?
Those look so good. I would love to try the guinness beef stew and the pizza! Anyway, everything looks just as yummy as the next dish. Perfect for large families, indeed.
I love foods. I really love all of these such a great selection of foods for St.Patricks day :)
This Guinness beef stew looks so delicious! I would like to try it! Thanks for the recipe! Happy St. Patrick Day!
These are such delicious recipes! I think my family would love them all…but especially that yummy lamb stew!
I always make a big pot of corned beef every year for at Patrick’s day. And with the sales on it I get an extra cut of it to freeze to eat later on in the year
