Making a healthy breakfast just got a whole lot easier, thanks to Maple Brown Sugar Better Oats Oat Fit® Oatmeal! If you’re looking for a tasty way to enjoy pancakes without all the extra sugary syrup and butter, you’re going to love my recipe!

I’m not the best at eating breakfast. Let’s be honest here, most of us who are extremely busy don’t have time for breakfast or at least we don’t take the time for breakfast. Of course, I get the lectures from everybody, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” I kind of just want to roll my eyes at them—I know it is!

My issue isn’t just lack of time, it’s the fact that I seriously can’t eat until I’ve been awake for an hour or so. It’s like my tummy needs time to stretch and drink its coffee. Not to mention, I don’t like eggs very much or many breakfast foods outside of waffles or pancakes for that matter. Sadly, those are probably not the healthiest options you can have in the morning, once you factor in all the butter and syrup.

Healthy Breakfast Made Easy Thanks to Better Oats Oat Fit Oatmeal!

I’m currently on a diet and have to find ways to eat my breakfast so that it fits into my nutrient intake for the day. As I mentioned, pancakes and waffles are my first option and it’s hard for me to get anything else down but often times, I must. I didn’t have to make myself eat something I don’t enjoy today thanks to Maple Brown Sugar Better Oats Oat Fit Oatmeal! I found mine at my local Kroger! With this diet, I often finish a meal and still don’t feel full. This morning, not only did I fit in breakfast and feel full but I didn’t go over my caloric intake or my fat intake for the meal!

Oat Fit is the perfect solution to my need for a convenient and healthy breakfast. With only 100 calories per pack and the quick cooking time, I was able to whip up some pancakes that were low in calories and fat. On top of that, I didn’t have to use syrup, because the sweet rich flavors of maple and brown sugar covered that for me. Since Oat Fit doesn’t have any added sugar, that made my meal that much healthier! Oat Fit is also a good source of fiber and ALA Omega-3t which supports my digestive health. My digestive health is the whole reason I’m on this blasted diet in the first place but that’s a story for another day. Anyways, I was happy to find out that Oat Fit didn’t cost an arm and a leg (because I won’t eat something if it costs me my limbs). Not to mention, I found a coupon that saved me $0.50!

You’re probably thinking, “Alright lady, enough talking. Where’s that recipe?!” Well, here it is and enjoy your meal while thanking Oat Fit for making healthy food tasty!

Makes: 5 Thick Pancakes (I only needed one to feel full!)

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients together in a bowl. The mixture will be thicker than the average pancake mix. However, make sure it’s not too thick, it should pour easily.
  2. Heat your pan and spray it with non-stick spray. Heat it to about a 5 or halfway as hot as your stove will go.
  3. Pour about ½ a cup or little less of mix into the pan in one central spot and then lightly spread it until it’s a nice round pancake. Do not spread it too thin.
  4. Wait for about 60 seconds and then flip the pancake and wait about 30-60 seconds and remove the pancake from the pan.healthy-breakfast-maple-brown-sugar-oat-fit-pancake-recipe

  1. These look delicious. I love adding new things to my pancakes, like cinnamon or bananas. Thinking about trying a recipe with pumpkin puree, and I think this might be a great one to use.

  2. Pancakes are so much favorite at home with my kids in particular & this one looks absolutely delicious. A great choice for a wonderful breakfast & it is quiet easy to do as well.

  3. That’s an awesome breakfast idea and it’s pretty healthy as well. I love oats because it has so many benefits. Pancakes are a favorite in the house too!
