It helps me stretch my grocery budget and reduces my risk of cholesterol (this disease runs into my family). Over the past few years, I increased my vegetable consumption and reduced my meat intake!

I try to pick seasonal vegetables. It’s hard sometimes as with our cold Canadian weather, I cannot find good vegetables at a reasonable price. So I choose budget friendly ones when I find them. Lately, cauliflower was on sale in my grocery store for $3 a piece. I missed eating this delicious vegetable during the winter.
