Halloween offers so many opportunities to play with your food and get a little silly! From crescent mummy dogs to orange “brain” snacks, there’s no shortage of fun ways to make your food Halloween-party ready. The problem? My son won’t touch most of that stuff. He’s super picky and really leery of anything that doesn’t look exactly like it’s supposed to. Serving him food that looks like brains would cause a revolt! It makes me a little sad, because I’m totally nuts about Halloween!
Jake’s favorite drink in the world, TruMoo, has me covered, though. They’ve “spookified” their classic chocolate milk with a fun Halloween label! I set up a spooky scene with inexpensive Halloween decorations to surprise Jake when he gets home from school later. Check it out!

It took just a few minutes to put together, but it’s such a fun way to get your child’s afterschool snack in the spirit of Halloween. Although, honestly, I didn’t want to leave the TruMoo out all day, so I drank both cups myself! I’ll refill them before he gets home. Gee, I hope he doesn’t notice that I snuck some of his favorite drink!
TruMoo Limited Edition Orange Scream Fun
TruMoo also brought back their Limited Edition Orange Scream flavor. It’s selling like proverbial hotcakes in my town, I am waiting for it to come back in stock in my local stores. I’m planning to make an Orange Scream Pumpkin Chai Latte. Here is the recipe I’ll be using:
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1 tablespoon real pumpkin
- 1 cup TruMoo Orange Scream
- 1 chai tea bag of your choice
Directions: Add the real pumpkin puree and the milk to a microwave-safe mug. Heat for about 40 seconds, then stir really well. Heat another 30 seconds, stir again, and add the pumpkin pie spice. Heat for a final minute, add your tea bag and let steep for a few minutes (depending on how strong you like it).
The multiple heating and stirring steps really helps get everything blended better. It’s my little secret for whenever you’re adding anything solid or semi-solid to a latte, be it pumpkin puree, chocolate chips and so on. I’m not the best cook in the world, but I rock hot beverages, if I do say so myself!
I’m also going to make these Orange Scream Cupcakes with TruMoo that we made last year, because they were just so tasty!

So delicious! I wish we had TruMoo here in Canada, I know my kiddos would love and enjoy it! What a treat!
Love the chocolate TruMoo and buy it once in awhile for the kids. (It disappears fast.) But I can never find the orange TruMoo. I just don’t think they sell it here during Halloween for some reason even though it’s advertised in the coupon section. Such a bummer because I’d love to try your drink recipe!
That looks delicious and yummy! I love using TruMoo for making a delicious hot chocolate. I will have to try your addition of pumpkin spice.
