Get ready for another easy Halloween craft for kids! Today we’re whipping up some fun & simple pipe cleaner spiders that you can use as spooky decor! I love spiders. My sister hates them and would rather burn her house down than deal with one. No, I don’t think she would actually burn her house down on purpose. Maybe on accident, though, trying to get away from one. Meanwhile, I’m over here like, “Save every spider and put it outside. It doesn’t deserve death.”

Anyways, we have the fall slowly approaching which means time for creepy crawly decorations and crafts. Since I’m not super creative and have to stick to simple things, I’ve created these little pipe cleaner spiders that take only a couple of supplies and are easy for kids and adults like me who can’t craft. Even if you’re a guru crafter, they’re still fun and can be glued to party bags, hung from the ceiling, whatever you can think of. Here’s how to do it!

Directions:

  • Begin by cutting a piece of pipe cleaner about 3 inches long.

  • Fold it in half.
  • Set a full-length pipe cleaner underneath it and then cross one side of the pipe cleaner to the opposite side and do the same with the other end of the pipe cleaner. This will result in the pipe cleaner latching on and being twisted around the 3-inch piece you cut.pipe-cleaners-spiders-easy-halloween-craft-for-kids
  • Do this 3 more times to make all the legs.
  • Bend the ends of the legs to look like a spider’s and then cut off the excess.pipe-cleaners-spiders-easy-halloween-craft-for-kids
  • Make sure the legs are closer together like a spider’s would be and then fold over the end of the 3-inch piece that serves as the bottom in order to keep your legs on and then cut off the excess if it crowds the head area.
  • Use your glue gun to glue on the eyes for whichever end you choose to be your front and you’ve got a spider!
