Christmas Recipes for Kids: Festive Fruit Crepe Cake

The following recipe for kids can be served as a delicious breakfast recipe or a yummy after school snack. Also, while I used pomegranate, you can really use any festive-colored fruit. Strawberries and raspberries work well too.

Fruit Crepe Cake

Remember how I love crepes. I can eat them as breakfast, lunch, dessert. They are so versatile and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • Crepe batter
  • Pomegranate
  • Yogurt (I used Vanilla Greek Yogurt but kids may prefer regular vanilla yogurt) or you can make a delicious homemade yogurt
  • Decoration: Wilton Eyes
  • 1 spoon of butter

You’ll also need a small pancake or crepe pan. I used the Nordic ware eggs plus pan but you can use any regular pancake pan or a small T-FAL pan.

Make it

  • Heat the pan
  • Add the butter
  • Cook the crepes
  • Let them cool
  • Now the fun part starts. Get kids involved in this part as they can be very creative in the decoration
  • Put the first crepe on the bottom
  • Add Yogurt
  • Add some pomegranate
  • Put another crepe
  • Do the same
  • Decorate as you wish.

This really is one of the easiest Christmas recipes for kids. It comes out so adorable too! My daughter loves decorating the face. If you don’t have the Wilton eyes, you can improvise with a bit of cream cheese and a blueberry or other dark fruit.

  1. I’ve never learned how to make crepes, but I usually order them when we go to a breakfast place (like IHOP). This is so adorable; just pinned!

  2. My kids love to help me in the kitchen to the point I bought them their very own rolling pins, knives and other things they can use to help me bake and cook. These would be fun to make with kids. I have a few things I planned to do with kids and I am excited for them to try. Or even for me. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I’ve never made crepes, just pancakes. This looks like a lot of fun! It’s so wonderful seeing all the ideas people have for special treats this time of year.
