One of my favorite things about Christmas season is the decoration, the lights, the atmosphere. It makes me feel good and relaxed. I don’t know about you, but I feel some kind of magic in the air. You can capture this magic in some U.S cities. So if you are thinking about taking a vacation with the family or just want to capture some magic, here are some amazing spots that are worth paying a visit during the holiday season.
Best Christmas Events Throughout the U.S.
First on the list is Branson Missouri. This city is located in the Ozarks and approximately 250 miles from St. Louis. Branson was once just an old lumber town, but now it has thousands of visitors every year due to the Festival of lights which begins in November and lasts for six weeks.
Next comes Leavenworth Washington. During the Christmas holiday, people come from all over the US just to take a look at the Christmas lights in the backdrop of the Cascade Mountains. Then there is Durango Colorado. This town has it`s very own Polar Express! Just like in the movie, kids show up in their pajamas and ride the train. Once they arrive at the North Pole Santa is waiting with a bell for each and every one of them. Another great attraction is actual North Pole, Alaska. Ice carvers come from all around the world just to make Christmas themed sculptures here. Of course, Santa Claus actually does have a house there as well and they have an amazing light show.
Have you ever heard of a Christmas Museum? Paradise, Pennsylvania has the only one in existence. Over 40,000 people come to see it each year. The museum has Christmas items that are over 200 years old. Pennsylvania also has a town called Bethlehem which was founded on Christmas Eve in 1741. In this famous town, the spirit of Christmas really comes to life. There is also a shop called Christkindlmarkt where many people gather to buy handcrafted goods. Of course, Los Angeles is a great place to be any time of year and Christmas time is no exception with their fantastic Hollywood Christmas parade.
So why wait, go and capture the magic of the holiday season. Visit one of these cities in the U.S with the family.
