Items Needed:
- Can (cleaned, dry and make sure there are no sharp edges)
- Wooden Ruler
- Scissors
- Various Décor
- Glue Gun
and Glue Sticks
- 2 Different Colors of Felt
Directions:
1. We chose a background felt that was exciting and not just a plain color. Begin by putting a strip of hot glue from the top of the can to the bottom.
2. Place the edge of your felt along this line.
3. Bring the felt all the way around the can and but another strip of glue and attach the end of the felt.
4. Cut remaining felt off.
5. Next, trace the name being placed on the can in the second color of felt or free hand cut it.
6. Hot glue each letter to the front of the can in the style desired.
7. Next, cut your wooden ruler to the length of the can and hot glue it over the seam where the felt was placed on the can.
8. Last, decorate your can by hot gluing your random décor. We used pencil erasers and stars.

That’s such a cool idea! It’s perfect for their study table too. I like how easy it is to make and that you can ask your child to help. They love doing arts and crafts!
That is really cute. A great idea if you are homeschooling too! I might make one for us, we all know there are always pens laying around the house. It would be nice to have one main place for all of it.
