Avoid: ‘My Outfit Is Ugly’ With These Back to School Clothes for Girls

Cute Back to School Clothes for Girls-OurFamilyWorld

Shopping for back to school clothes for girls can be both fun and daunting, depending on your daughter’s clothing personality! When my oldest daughter attended school outside of the home she was overly particular about her clothing. There were mornings we would be late to school because she had spent an hour screaming over having “nothing to wear” and “her outfit was ugly.” I was prepared for this sort of thing with my teenage daughter, but she was still in pre-k!

My experience proved that it doesn’t matter if it is your daughter’s first year of school or her first day of seventh grade, clothing affects her. It has the ability to put her in a good mood, place her in a bad one, or give her the confidence she needs to go through a “scary” day of school. It is important to send her back to school with something beautiful. Your school-day mornings (and sanity) may depend on it!

  1. I love the simple pieces, especially the ones by lee. The clothes our babies wear to school should be really comfy so they won’t have a hard time worrying about their outfits.

  2. These back to school suggestions for girls are cute. I like the light blue polo shirt matched with the navy blue skirt. Me and my kids all went to schools were uniforms were required, so I am thankful that it is one less worry for me to shop for back to school clothes.

  3. Awww, they’re all lovely! The belted dress, hi-low sweater, and navy blue skirt are may faves. Too bad, I don’t have kids but these OOTDs will surely rock especially for school.

  4. Great suggestions. As we know our children need to look good and have all the up to date clothes. Well I know my daughter and son are like this. Thank God those are the only 2 left in school.

  5. Oh now I know my mother remembers our complaints about our “outfits being ugly”. I don’t think she cared, as long as it was cleaned and ironed, that’s all that mattered to her. We wanted to be stylish and cute. The glamour of children’s clothes have come a long way since the days of getting school clothes at JC Penny or Sears.

  6. I absolutely love the coral high low dress, it is so cute! Crazy to be thinking about back to school already but you are right on target as time slips away from us so it is great to start thinking about these things now! You have a great eye for fashion!

  7. All of these outfits are so adorable. I can’t believe that it is almost back to school time already, the summer is flying by this year. I love the silhouette shirt, the colors on it are beautiful.

  8. I always used to love going back to school and in getting new clothes and accessories! I love the Capri pants and how you mixed and matched such cute outfits! The clothes you outlined look very economical, but best of all, very comfortable too!

  9. I loved going back to school shopping for clothes when I was a kid. What would I wear the first day? The second? It was so much fun! I love your suggestions, especially the ones with the zigzags on them – so cute!
