Today we’re sharing a super cool product that everyone needs to take on family vacations: the eGeeTouch Smart Luggage Lock. Using locks to protect our valuables is pretty much a necessity when you travel, right? My biggest problem? I’m a scatter brain! I forget the codes or lose the keys. I once lost the combination to my safe for three years. Thankfully it was stuck in the open position (I have no idea how I managed that) and eventually I was able to crack the code. Only because I could SEE the gears and where they lined up, not because I’m a master safe cracker or anything. If I was, would it have taken me three years to fix it?

eGeeTouch Smart Luggage Lock: The Easiest Lock for Family Travelers
One of the first things that caught my eye at CES was the eGeeTouch Smart Luggage Lock that provides a few different ways of unlocking it. You don’t need a key, you don’t have to remember a lock combination, and there isn’t a 3-digit code that can be easily cracked.
You can pair the eGeeTouch Tag to your smart phone or tap the tag that comes with it and it opens up quite easily! What is also really cool is that there is a built-in microchip tag that allows you to easily identify your luggage – no more accidentally taking someone else’s.
The eGeeTouch Geo lock won the CES Innovation Award over the Bluetooth locks on the market. An additional feature that I think is one of the best features is that you can turn on the GPS locator function. So if the airline ever loses yours luggage, you can see exactly where it is. Now that is awesome!
Some people wondered about when their luggage gets flagged by TSA, how will TSA access their bags? The eGeeTouch lock has been built to be TSA-compliant and the TSA has a master key that can unlock the luggage lock if needed. Well, that’s simple.
Pretty cool, right? The eGeeTough Smart Luggage Lock is still in the startup phase, so availability and pricing hasn’t been announced. We’ll keep you updated!

This might sound strange to you but I rarely lock my suitcases when I travel; partly to give TSA access and partly because I don’t put valuables in my checked in luggage. This lock is a good idea though.
