Things to Do in Quebec City on Your Family Vacation

Old Quebec

The area is incredible with opportunities to simply walk around and enjoy the historic aspect that the neighborhoods offer. Charming cannot adequately describe the shops, eateries, and crooked streets. You could explore all day and just enjoy the location on foot – no expensive cabs needed. If you are looking for a little romantic spot to spend time with your significant other, this is the place. It’s so quaint, it makes it easy to be comfortable and relax. You won’t need to spend a dime to enjoy the views.

Montmorency Falls Park

The falls are stunning and provide a backdrop for photos that will be treasured memories. Let your inner photographer enjoy the millions of photo ops, or simply put the camera down and soak up the atmosphere. You won’t find and experience like this anywhere else. While some parts of the area are closed in the winter, you can still see the falls in their frozen and icy splendor.

Plains of Abraham

Take in stunning views of the city from this historic area in The Battlefields Park. The Plains of Abraham hosts numerous events throughout the year, including a fun winter carnival.  Rent skates and hit the ice during the winter or pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the fresh air during the warmer months.

There are a few great options for skiing. You can enjoy the scenic locale and ski with the family for a nature-packed adventure. Camp Mercier and Centre de Ski de Fond de Charlesbourg are a couple of favorite places to try. You can even try to “paraski,” which is like parasailing, but with skis.
