More Wonder, More Surprise, Fresh Adventure in Gulf County, Florida

There are so many things I want to do in Gulf County, it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few! Of course, I could do the same thing several times and always get a different experience. Remember, GCFL is all about nature, and the landscape is constantly changing. One day you might head out on a kayak and see one type of bird, and the next you could discover a stunning school of fish hanging out! This is what’s on my current Adventure list.

Kayak on the Dead Lakes

I am fascinated by the Dead Lakes in Wewahitchka, FL! I’d love to take one of the “Off the Map Expeditions” through them. They have guided kayak tours that take you and your family through the incredible, mysterious water. It would be so cool to see all the reptiles and fish that call the lake home. I love that this type of expedition is tailored for my family’s needs and wants.

Watch the Sunset Over the Cape

Honestly, I’d be happy just to stand on a beach and catch one of these glorious sunsets, but can you imagine seeing it from a boat? You could take a sunset cruise! I can’t think of a better place to watch the sky light up in shades or orange and red than in Gulf County. You’ll be treated to completely unobstructed views of our brightest star lowering over the Gulf.

Visit Constitution Convention Museum State Park
