Shoeboxes for art supplies

Tired of crayons and other art supplies all over the house? All you need to organize them all is an empty shoebox, empty toilet paper rolls and some glue. Glue together several empty toilet paper rolls (about 12-15), then place them inside the shoebox. Then, just put the crayons, markers, paint brushes and pencils inside the empty rolls. You can also use little-galvanized gardening buckets to store supplies. Check out more ideas for keeping arts and crafts supplies corralled!

Dish drying rack for coloring books

You know those plastic dish racks that you use to dry your dishes? You can use an empty one to keep your child’s coloring books neat and organized.

Mason jars for bathroom items

If you have more than one child, trying to keep their individual supplies for brushing their teeth organized isn’t always easy. All you need is one mason jar for each child and some labels. Label each jar with the child’s name, then store their toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss.

Kleenex boxes for sick kids

When kids are sick, they often use Kleenex to wipe their little noses and then toss the dirty Kleenex throughout the house. You can easily prevent this with 2 Kleenex boxes, one with Kleenex and one that is empty. Secure the two boxes together with a couple of rubber bands and hand it to your child. They can use the empty Kleenex box as trash.

Command hook to hang bibs

Everyone has at least one, if not more, Command hooks in their kitchen. Stick one to the back of your little one’s highchair. When they are done eating each meal, just hang their bib on the hook, so you always know where it is.

Organize hair accessories

If your little girl has a ton of hair accessories, keep them all organized in one of those little craft boxes used for beading. The compartments are small enough for little bands and bows. Got a lot of bigger bows and headbands? Use small storage drawers instead.

Repurpose shoe organizers

Shoe organizers are perfect for everything from stuffed animals to lightweight books. Hang one on the inside of your child’s playroom closet to wrangle all sorts of small objects. She’ll never lose her favorite doll again!

Life with small children can be chaotic. All the organizing hacks in the world can’t change that! Still, these hacks do give you some control over the sheer amount of stuff that children come with! 1. I like getting cheap storage bins/containers from Dollar Tree or the seasonal section at Wal-Mart. We use tiny tin and plastic pails for holding markers and colored pencils. The little pails are short enough that the tops stick up above the rim so they don’t need to dump them out to find the color they want. And the pails are super cute. :)

  2. I loved an organized work area and when the grandkids are over and do crafts cleanup and reorganize are on the list to do when completing their craft

  3. Organizing is like a hobby when you’re a mom and you have no choice but to clean up in order to have peace of mind, lol. These are awesome ideas and I definitely would consider doing them!
