Games To Play During A Child’s Party

So you’re having a party for your kid and their friends. What fun! Let’s see you’ve got decorations, the cake, what are you missing? Games of course! You can’t have a kid’s party without games. You don’t even have to spend a lot of money buying games for this party. The rest of this article will give you some inexpensive games you can play at your kid’s next party.

The following games can be played inside or outside:

Twenty Questions

In this game one person gets to be the answerer. The answerer picks a person place or thing but doesn’t tell the other people what it is. The other people get twenty yes or no questions to figure out what the other person is thinking of. The one who gets the answer right becomes the answerer. Do this for however long you like. The person that becomes the answerer the most is the winner and wins a prize (can be something from the dollar store).

Musical Chairs

Place a group of chairs in a circle with the seat part facing out. Make sure that there is one less chair than you have party guests. Play a song and have the kids walk around the chairs while a song plays on your radio. Hit stop. Whoever does not find a chair is out and sits out until a new game is played. The last one with a chair wins a small prize.

Pin The Tail On The Donkey

This classic game is fairly simple. You blindfold the kids. Give them the donkey’s tail and have them pin the tail on the donkey. Whoever is closest to the target wins and gets the prize.

Hot and Cold

With this game you hide something somewhere in the house. Have the kids hunt for the item. When the kids are close to the item say warm. When they are far away from the item say cold. When the kids find the item say something like burning up hot! Whoever finds the item wins a prize. You could even make the item the prize.

Duck Duck Goose

This is another classic game. Just have the kids sit in a circle. One person gets to be it. The person that is it walks around the circle going duck duck until they pick the goose. Then the person that is picked as the goose has to chase the person that is it. If the original person that was it sits down before the goose does then the goose becomes it.

Hot Potato

In this game you pick an object to be the potato. Have the children toss the object around while some music is being played. Hit stop and whoever has the “potato” when the music stops is out. Make sure there are no fragile objects nearby if you are playing this inside.

Games are an essential ingredient of a fun party. You don’t have to run out and buy expensive party games. Use some of these suggestions and you will be well on your way to a fun party that no one will forget.
