Jewelry Workshop: Bead, Wrap, Chain & Etch
I used to love making jewelry before my son was born. I still have all the supplies somewhere in my garage! I only really knew the basics and always wanted to learn more complex methods of creating gorgeous jewelry. When our writer, Racquel, create this gorgeous Mother’s Day Birthstone pendant, I have to admit I was a little jealous of her skills! In a good way, of course! If you’ve always wanted to create stunning and original pieces of jewelry for your own accessory wardrobe, this is a great place to start!
Okay, I’m such a crafting novice that I thought, based on the description, this class would teach you how to make a tuxedo and a purse out of paper. Then I thought, “cool, but if you get wet, you’ll be in big trouble!” Apparently those are folding styles. What you will learn in this class is how to transform paper products like maps, books and more into gorgeous decorations. You’ll also learn how to make you own cards and invitations!
I have always wanted to take old flea market find and turn them into beautiful furniture. In fact, many years ago I bought a child’s desk for $5. I swore I was going to redo it and make it cool, but it just never happened. I didn’t know where to start, and I certainly didn’t have time to attend a class somewhere. In this class, you’ll not only learn how to upcycle furniture into really cool pieces, but also how to recognize furniture from different eras!
The (Not So) Itty-Bitty Giraffe
