Tips:

You can also add essential oils to the sugar scrub if you prefer a scented version. A few that work really well together include lavender & vanilla, lemon & lime, or peppermint & vanilla. Add it a drop or two at a time until you have the scent that you like. Peppermint, in particular, is very strong so a little goes a long way! If you’re making this craft with younger kids, add the essential oils yourself. Even older kids should be supervised closely, as undiluted EO’s can be incredibly irritating to the skin.

Regarding the food coloring: if you’ve never used it in sugar scrubs or bath salts before, you might be thinking “won’t it get all over me when I use the scrub?” In all the years I’ve made homemade bath products colored with food coloring, I’ve never once had an issue with this. However, like with EO’s, a little goes a long way!

  1. This is such a cute way to celebrate her character. I love that she is appearing at Disney World now as a princess to meet!

  2. I’ve never made my own sugar scrub, but each time I read something like this and see how easy it could be, I think I’ll do it. I love the color of this scrub. Maybe this will be the one I’ll finally try.

  3. This is so cute and such a fun gift idea! So many girls in my family are at the age that they love body products like this, so I’ll have to remember it when they are visiting!

  4. Sugar scrubs are a great way to exfoliate your skin. I love to try different recipes for it. My Daughter will love this one.

  5. This sugar scrub is beautiful. I make my own but they never come out looking this way. I think I need to melt my coconut oil first and get the bigger sugar crystals. I think that would make a huge difference.
