Today we have a super simple and cute craft idea that celebrates your family’s love of Pokemon Go. These DIY Poke Balls made from golf balls are perfect for those rainy days when catching Pokemon just isn’t in the cards. As much as we love the game, sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the screen and encourage kids to use their imaginations a bit more. Crafts like this give them a chance to explore their own brilliant ideas around their favorite characters. This also make a great party activity for kids! I know quite a few kids (and adults!) who are planning Pokemon Go themed parties this year. Let’s check out how to make it!

Directions:
1. Begin by taping off the upper half of the golf ball and placing a circle in the spot desired.
2. Paint the upper half red. We used puff paint and a sponge brush.

Want to turn this Poke Ball craft into a fun party activity? Start by letting kids create their Poke Balls, and make a few extras yourself if you don’t have a lot of guests. They can follow the directions above, or get creative and make different colors. While the kids are occupied with something else, gather up their creations and hide them outside (if it’s raining, you can choose a spot indoors to play). Divide the kids into two teams, then challenge them to find the Poke Balls! Make it even more challenging by hiding a few regular golf balls to throw them off!
This Poke Ball craft also makes a great gift idea for a Pokemon Go-obsessed dad who loves to golf! The possibilities are endless! Use your imagination and I bet you can come up with even more fun ways to play with them!

This is so simple and fun. My kids would go crazy for this. Thanks.
Very cool idea. I can see leaving these randomly at all the Pokestops!
These days it seems like Pokemon is where the fun is! I know my family enjoys playing it together. This craft is perfect for the theme of Pokemon, :)
Too fun! It seems like the whole world has gone pokemon crazy.
It is always a good thing when people can make crafts that go along with the things they enjoy. Pokemon is very popular now so it is nice to be able to make something to help the family enjoy it more.
It’s great how simple this is. Pokemon Go is very popular now, kids could do this with other balls too such as baseballs.
What a cute and creative idea. I will have to make some Poke Balls for my son and his friends.
What a cute craft! Thanks for linking up to Merry Monday! Pinned! Have a great week!
