We’re continuing our autumn place setting series today with a beautiful and easy DIY fall silverware holder. We’re getting super close to the finished setting! Next week we’ll show you how to pull it all together, from the drinking glasses to the place mat, to present the classiest, most festive fall table setting you’ve ever made. Are you excited? I am!
I LOVE decorating for fall but have always focused on the bigger and better things such as the front porch and my mantle. However, this year, I’ll actually have my own house because we just finished buying one (perfect timing for the holidays!). This means I’m going the extra mile because no longer do I have a shared home but my own all to myself! When I say “the extra mile” I mean I’m going to go nuts because I’m definitely one of those people who is a freak over the holidays. I need one of those shirts that says I have obsessive Christmas disorder. That shirt was made for me.
Anyways, I’ve never decorated my dinner table before because I never had room for one. I decided that would be different with the new house. Therefore, I present to you, my own silverware holder! Super easy, fun for the family to make together and they’re perfect to impress family and friends throughout the fall holidays. Check out how to make them, then print out the instructions card for later!

Items Needed:
- Glue Gun
- Gold Paper Fasteners
- 1 Foot of 6-inch Burlap
- Fake Leaves
Directions:
- Take your piece of burlap and fold it in half.
- Begin putting your fasteners on both sides. Space them evenly. I suggest starting with one side and then using it to save your spots for the other side. I suggest 4-6 fasteners on each side.
- Place your two leaves in the middle of your burlap.
- Once you’ve found the right spot, glue around the edges of the leaves and hold them down until dry.
- Take a fastener and place it in the middle of the two leaves.
