Looking for an easy way to make a beautiful Deco Candle in moments? Check out our tutorial! I love the Energizer battery operated candles. They’re perfect for homes with small children because you don’t have to worry about knocking them over and catching something on fire! They’re also great for families with pets for the same reason. Plus, you never have to deal with soot on your ceiling or wax melting all over the place!
However, I don’t like the boring color of candles that I had on hand. I decided to take them up a notch with a few simple steps and create my own Deco Candle! I have lots of crafting supplies so I simply cut and measured a piece of pretty scrapbook paper, glued it to the candle and added a ribbon. It’s so much prettier and matches my home decor!
How to Make Your Own Deco Candle
SUPPLIES

- Fabric measuring tape
- Decorative printed-paper
- Tape
- Foam paintbrush
- Mod podge
- Fiber ribbon

DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Measure the circumference and height of the candle
Step 2: Using the above measurements, cut out a piece of paper to fit the candle.

Step 3: Wrap the paper around the candle and secure with a small piece of tape. Using a pencil trace the top edge of the candle onto the paper.
Step 4: Remove the tape from the paper and then cut along the line for the top of the candle.

Step 5: Using a foam paintbrush, paint mod podge onto the candle.
Step 6: After the paper is dried and attached to the candle tie a piece of fiber around the candle.
That’s all there is to it! Once you’re done, you’ll have a beautiful Deco Candle ready to display or give as a gift! It’s so easy, you can make several of them for the upcoming holidays. Plus, if the power goes out this winter, you can at least sit around in style and ready by faux candle light! Looking for more fun and easy home decor projects?
