Some days being pregnant is hard, I know I have been there twice and I have found you 5 ways you can pamper yourself while pregnant! Your body is not yours at the moment; all the nutrients you take in, they go to your baby first. All of your energy, it goes into growing your baby. Those things we can not control, but you can do some things to help make yourself feel a little more like you right now. Being pregnant is tough, and you need to pamper yourself.

A good book
To me, it is so soothing and relaxing to sit in a quiet place with a good book. When I was pregnant with my daughter I read Jenny McCarthy’s Belly Laughs and laughed the entire way through. I am pretty sure I annoyed my partner at times! If this is your first pregnancy, this is a must read and if you have been to this rodeo before, you can totally relate to the things she talks about. She doesn’t hold anything back and talks about the ugly truths of pregnancy that no one really tells you.
Maternity leggings
Just because you are pregnant doesn’t mean you have to forego the yoga pants! One of the best things I bought in my second pregnancy was a pair of maternity leggings. You can wear them so many different ways, from dressing them up for work with some flats to lounging around on the weekend with a pair of sneakers (that hopefully still fit your feet). Something about the way they fit is just different than other maternity pants with panels. Some are even adjustable too so they grow with you!
Pedicure
Yes, it is ok (and encouraged) for you to get a pedicure while pregnant. The lovely foot massage you receive helps with circulation and who doesn’t like to walk around with perfectly painted toenails? Even if you have to cover them up due to the season (like I did with my son, he was born in the winter) having your toes painted just helps you to feel a little more like yourself during a time when even your own body is not yours for a time being.
Exercise
You might be thinking ‘this woman is crazy! How is exercising pampering myself?’ trust me, you will thank me when you are done and you will thank me when you are no longer pregnant. Keeping up with your workout routine as much as possible while pregnant (with some obvious modifications along the way as your belly and baby grow) has been known to make labor a little easier, and help you to lose your pregnancy a little easier as well. Remember how you felt after a good workout before you were pregnant? Heart pumping, oxygen flowing, it is all very good for you and the baby!
Get to the salon
I saw my hair stylist often while pregnant! Don’t we all feel a little better after an appointment with the goddess with scissors? Even if it is a little trim, your gorgeous locks (because if you haven’t noticed yet between the prenatal vitamins and the hormones in general, your hair is likely nice and thick and better looking than ever) will stay healthy and you will feel great, and feeling great during pregnancy can be a hard thing to accomplish some days!
Doing little things to pamper yourself while pregnant is a must, really. Some things will benefit your body (like a foot massage during a pedicure) and some things will just help you to feel better in general. I loved being pregnant (not everyone does, I know) but I still had my days during both where I was in need of a little pampering. It always seems a little harder to pamper yourself when you already have a little one running around, but you deserve it mama!

I am with you on that pregnancy experience as I have also been there twice! Pampering yourself & staying with positive thoughts and energy are the key during such wonderful moments of your life & these are some great tips to keep in mind.
Some great ideas. I was on bedrest for much of my pregnancy. Boy did those hours get long.
Oh these are such great tips! Exercise is a must, pregnant or not! :D
This 8-months-pregnant-with-twins gal says THANK YOU for this post!!! Great ideas here, too!
Exercise did always make me feel better. I guess because it releived stress.
Wonderful ideas! I know for me though the last thing I want to do is head out to a salon or nail place so I’ve had to find things to do around the house to pamper myself. I have really no time, and my patience has depleted so badly, winding down at home is the best for me!
You don’t have to do a lot to feel pampered when you’re pregnant, that’s why these are awesome ideas! I remember reading all the time when I was pregnant with the twins and it always made me feel great!
I’m liking these ideas. You definitely have to keep up on the exercise. Salon visits are always nice too.
I think these are all good ideas. I would’ve enjoyed a nice massage.. or 2 or 3.
These are all great ways to pamper yourself when pregnant. Thank you for sharing these ideas!
I love all of these ideas! I’m sure a pedicure and a massage would feel amazing though!
Sometimes a 10 minute break to lay down with a cold drink did the trick. My back was so in pain.
I wish I had the money to have a massage when I was pregnant. I bet that would have been amazing.
These all sound like great ideas. I really enjoyed a day at the salon when I was pregnant.
I wish maternity leggings were around when I was pregnant. There were no cute AND comfy maternity clothes back then.
When I was pregnant, I didn’t have to pamper myself. My husband did it for me! That man was so wonderful through all of our babies.
If anyone deserves some pampering, it’s a pregnant mom. Love your ideas.
