The Young Scientists Club was created to engage young boys and girls by offering quality products that help them learn about many scientific topics. All of their products are designed by Harvard graduates, scientists, parents and educators to create a fun way for kids to learn about science. Each kit is tested by kids at the annual science camp, and they are not put on the market until the kids try them out! My boys love to explore, I have a 7 year old who is in 1st grade and he is learning a lot about science this year. He is always admiring the leaves and bugs when we go outside so I thought The Magic School Bus Exploring the Wonders of Nature was perfect for him. I remember watching The Magic School Bus on TV when I was little and I learned a lot from it so I knew my son would love it too.
Getting excited about science with the Young Scientists Club kit!
In the Young Scientists Club kit there are numerous objects to use as the kids read through the experiment and activity book.
My oldest stole it from my little guy…that didn’t go over well! My youngest ended up with it in the end though.
Each student of The Magic School Bus class has an experiment or activity to do in the activity book. My older son really liked Carlos’ Experiment of the scavenger hunt. He was able to use the stickers provided and search for items on the scavenger hunt list. He found birds, insects, leaves, a squirrel, rocks, water and an ant hill around our house! I must say, this really kept him occupied for a while and made him more aware of his surroundings.
Some other activities include casting an animal track, create a paper mâché ant, learn about the life cycle, build an ant farm, explore sun prints, construct leaf art, dry flowers, dissolve an egg shell and so much more!
Both of my boys enjoyed the science kit, I am actually going to get my 7 year old the weather kit that is available because he has been watching the Weather Channel a lot lately and seems to have taken an interest. I love how they have a variety of kits available to choose from that can be purchased individually or you can sign up for the program to receive one kit each month.
There are kits for children starting at age 3+ and my boys highly recommend the kits for other young girls and boys that want to have fun while learning!
