  1. My 5 year grandson and I cook a lot together, just like his dad and I did. I have several cookbooks that inspire me. most are all southern cooking. I use my grandmother’s recipe for banana pudding though.

  2. These cookbooks are very cute and it looks like some of them give great additional tips that can teach children about being safe in the kitchen. Thanks for sharing!

  3. omg, why didnt i ever think to look into a cookbook for my daughter?! we’ve been doing cooking shows almost every weekend and she looooooves playing chef and restaurant.

  4. I have an older one that is really getting into baking. I used to cook with the Williams-Sonoma cook books (my mom used to work there) and those were good. I don’t know what we’ll try now (he’s 13). Let me know if you find any good ones for older kids. Would love the recommendations!

  5. Oh, bother! I might need that Winnie the Pooh cookbook for my collection (even though I don’t have kids). Let’s just ignore the fact that my cookbook collection already doesn’t fit on a single bookcase by a long shot, lol.

  6. I LOVE cooking with my kids – of course it takes a great amount of self-control on my part not to interject. I tend to want things to go smoothly, and with as little mess as possible. But, kids and cooking = mess, so I am trying to embrace it. I haven’t ever thought of getting a kids cookbook – these all look like great suggestions!
