Fisher-Price Little People® have been around for generations, and for a good reason! They inspire such fun creative play in children! I remember when I was little, I had Fisher-Price playsets with different characters. Back then, Fisher-Price Little People® looked like little pegs with heads. They’ve come so far since my childhood! Now, there are characters of every kind. I often wonder what they’ll be like when I have grandchildren? Sometimes I think “maybe they’ll all be electronic and talk,” but then I realize that Fisher-Price could have done that a long time ago and didn’t. Why? I think because the toy company knows that Little People® already inspire such creativity in children that to add talking toys would take away from the child’s imagination. That’s just my theory though.
Creative Playtime with Little People®
My little princess loves to act out different scenarios with her Fisher-Price Little People®! Her characters always go on grand adventures. Sometimes I overhear her recreating moments from our past trips or other fun family moments! Other times, she seems to be working through a problem in her head by having the characters act them out. Then there are times when she just lets her imagination run wild and creates her own unique adventures for her Fisher-Price Little People®. I think all three scenarios are very beneficial to her!
Children need free-play time to explore what is in their minds. Playing with Fisher-Price Little People® helps them work through any issues they may be having as well as brings back fond memories of times spent with their parents. What we really love about Little People® is how many characters there are! Kids can find characters that are just like them in many ways plus they can learn about other cultures through characters that aren’t so much like themselves.
Fisher-Price introduces five new characters!
Speaking of characters, Fisher-Price recently introduced five new faces to their lineup of Little People®. They include:
- Tessa: An animal lover and born leader who is always up for a new challenge.
- Eddie: A sports fanatic who is full of energy and is always on the go!
- Mia: A shy girl who loves to collect and organize things. While she may be quiet, she is always ready to help provide a solution to a problem!
- Sofie: An artistic girl who is always daydreaming and loves to explore!
- Koby: A dinosaur fan who loves to make his friends laugh!
Visit Fisher-Price Canada’s Little People website to learn more about each character! Also, throughout October and November, Treehouse will hold the Little People, Big Discoveries contest. You can play a hide and seek game to find new characters on playsets, watch the videos and be entered to win 1 of 5 $265 Little People Prize packs!
