For the Day 2 of the LegoDuplo 30 days of play, my princess’s challenge is: Dot-to-Dot.
The children had to build a scene just for you – and then follow it through. Lay out the numbers 1 through 5 in different spots on the ground and build a scene by adding DUPLO bricks or characters to each number.
My 4 year-old required some help from her bother organizing the numbers. She did not want any kind of help to build the scene. She is quite independent and I respect that.
Things I like about this Day 2 Challenge
It improves fine motor skills: The scenes require smaller blocks that will help improve fine motor skills. These skills are very important especially in writing and coloring.
It improves counting skills: By the end of the challenge, my daughter was able to recognize the numbers: 1 to 5 and most important: organize them.
Let’s take a look at her creation:
Did you play with your child? What did you create? I would love to see. Don’t forget that when you take this challenge you can win a trip for 4 to LegoLand!! Good luck and happy play!
