This post is brought to you by Midnight Castle and Big Fish Games. All opinions are our own.
Big Fish and Hidden Object games have been a major part of my free time for many years. In fact, Big Fish got me hooked on them in the first place! While there are hundreds of different hidden object games out there, I’ve always loved the ones with rich back stories. Games that go beyond just looking for objects in a pile of stuff. Big Fish gave me my fill of those types of games and continue to do so. Midnight Castle is a brand new hidden object game from Big Fish, yet it is so much more than just a hidden object game. It’s a complete mystery adventure from beginning to end. Check out the trailer. I just love the spooky music!
Flex your brain with Midnight Castle
We had a chance to check out Midnight Castle for iOS. I absolutely love how gorgeous the graphics look on the iPad! It’s so convenient to be able to take the game with me anywhere too. Back when I first started playing Big Fish games, I could only play sitting in front of my computer. Now, I can play while waiting at the doctor’s office, standing in line at the post office and just about anywhere else!
When you embark on your journey with Midnight Castle, prepare to really engage your brain! You’ll start the game by learning that you’ve just inherited a magical estate from your somewhat odd uncle. Magical estates always come with some interesting surprises! This one is filled with intrigue, especially when you find out there is a hidden cavern called the Mystery Chamber of Wishes. I don’t know about you, but I would LOVE to find such a chamber!
Of course, you won’t find out what is in this Mystery Chamber of Wishes unless you convince the remaining occupants of the Estate to trust you, something that is never easy when you’re the new girl in town. You’ll need to complete tasks to get them to help you. That means plenty of hidden object fun! Throughout Midnight Castle, the hidden object scenes will help open up new levels and help you find items you need to repair the broken compass.
The game is different from any other hidden object game I’ve played in that it uses a system of coins and gems to allow you to advance. You earn these items by completing quests. Some quests are as simple as unlocking a new area and grabbing an item. Others require several steps, including forays into hidden object mini-games. At times, you’ll be faced with either waiting a certain period of time or spending energy to move on. You can also purchase coins and gems if you get impatient and want to advance faster.
I am having so much fun playing Midnight Castle. I feel like hidden object games make me sharper in real life, help me be more aware of my surroundings. I’m not sure if that feeling is backed by research, but to me, these games feel like a great mental workout. Midnight Castle is available exclusively on Big Fish. Download it for the PC or head to your App Store and grab it for the iPad. The game itself is free, but you can purchase in-game items to progress faster.
