Allergy season is well underway for me here in the Poconos. While our area is a tourist attraction primarily because we still have some nature left (although not nearly as much as we used to!), that proximity to so much nature wreaks havoc on my sinuses. Not to mention all the pollen my dogs track in from the backyard! Just take a look at all those allergens waiting to be released inside my house!

I’ve been feeling pretty miserable the last few weeks because of allergies. To make it worse, between the runny nose, sneezing and itchy eyes, allergy face is pretty much a given for me throughout much of the year. See, I have tri-season allergies. That’s what I call them, anyway. I have allergies in the spring, summer and fall. Winter I get a break…until I catch a cold!

What is allergy face? If you suffer from allergies, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Allergies make me feel like I got smacked in the face with a brick. ALLERGY FACE® pretty much just shows that feeling on the outside. Picture a vision of puffy red, watery eyes, a red nose that would make Santa jealous and blotchy skin. Pretty, right? I don’t think it’s fair that I have to feel miserable and look it too!

Put a Stop to ALLERGY FACE® with ZYRTEC®

ZYRTEC® is one of the few allergy medicines that I can actually take and still function. Most allergy meds knock me out, even if they say they’re non-drowsy. I love that it provides 24-hour relief and starts working in the first hour on the first day that I take it. I don’t have time to wait weeks for relief! It goes right to work combating allergies. When I need relief, I need it right away.

While ZYRTEC® will definitely help get rid of ALLERGY FACE® by eliminating the underlying cause, there are some great makeup tricks that you can do to help reduce the appearance of puffiness and redness. ZYRTEC® has teamed up with celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg to bring you those tips.

ALLERGY FACE® tips from Jamie Greenberg

Jaimie offers up tons of great tips from barely there makeup to dramatic cats eyes. One of my favorite tips is to use a green concealer to cover up redness. You’d think that would end up looking funky, but it actually works! I also love her advice about sticking with a nude color for your lips and cheeks when you go with a dramatic look for your eyes. I kind of always thought you needed dramatic on both the top and the bottom, but her advice definitely plays up the eyes! Check out the video for more tips or visit the Facebook page.

Head on over to ZYRTEC® to learn more about how they can help you say goodbye to ALLERGY FACE® once and for all!

  1. I have allergies as well as my daughters and grand children! It is just plain nasty, what it does to us! :/

  2. I don’t get allergies, but my daughter does. My friends have complained about allergy face a lot this year! These are some great survival tips!

  3. What?? Do you mean the puffy eyes, red nose (like a reindeer) and there is no way I am putting make up, as the make up would just slide off my face. (lol) My doctor has me on some sort of medical drug, that usually works, but I am still not wearing any makeup. Thank you for your review! :)

  4. I hate allergies. It isn’t the face I have a problem with… it’s the constantly having to blow my nose! (Which, I guess, probably leads to an allergy face but I don’t notice it.)

  5. Makeup can definitely make you feel better when you have allergies. Instead of looking red and swollen, those tips can make you feel like yourself again.
