Kick Your Winter Skin Care Routine into High Gear with Shoppers Drug Mart

I don’t know about you, but I really need to kick my winter skin care routine into high gear this season! Winter weather may be fun for skiing, skating and chilling by the fireplace with a cup of yummy cocoa, but it sure wreaks havoc on my skin! Between the dry heat in the house and the bitter air outside, I feel like the moisture just gets sucked right out. While I can be lax about my moisturizing rituals during the warmer months, I can’t get away with slacking in the winter!

It’s not just me, either! My whole family needs rescuing when it comes to winter skin care. We’re very active outdoors during the winter. We spend as much time hitting the slopes as possible. When we’re not skiing, we’re enjoying other outdoor activities. I always say, in Canada, you have two choices: hide from the snow or embrace it! We embrace it, even if it means taking extra care of our skin.

Thankfully, Shoppers Drug Mart always has my whole family covered with the best winter skin care products at prices that don’t make me want to bury my head in the snow! Plus I earn Shoppers Optimum Points on all the participating skin care products.

My Go-to Winter Skin Care Products

I love trying out new skin care products but I do have a few tried and true goodies that I stock up on at Shoppers Drug Mart!

  • Aveeno Skin Relief Fragrance Free Lotion: Aveeno is perfect for my whole family. It’s gentle enough for my daughter’s delicate skin, yet powerful enough to smooth my roughest patches. Plus it’s fragrance-free, so it never clashes with my favourite perfumes.

  • Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream: When cold weather brings out uneven skin tones, this go-to winter skin care product whips it back into shape. I will use it before my makeup to create the perfect base. I cannot go on the slopes without makeup, can I?

  1. I have my share of Aveeno and Olay products. The Aveeno is great for my sensitive skin, and my mom swears by Olay.

  2. My SIL swears by Olay and she’s got gorgeous skin. She truly looks years younger than she is… I don’t know if it’s genetics or Olay. She says both. :)

  3. This reminds me that I need to pick up some more lotion because I’m almost out. Too bad there’s not a Shopper’s Drug Mart near me, I’ve always heard such great things about them.

  4. We love Shopper’s Drug Mart. I have the WORST skin in the winter. Seriously. It’s rough, it cracks, it bleeds. I love Aveeno. I need to try that OLAY Regenerist Stuff!

  5. I use coconut oil for my skin. That really seems to help. I try to only use organic and natural products on my skin because it is our biggest organ, we should take care of it. Wintertime can be harsh on it.

Since I live in a place where our winters are twice a long as summers, my skin gets really dry. I moisturize regularly.
