Today we’re talking about something many women experience, but don’t like to discuss: light bladder leakage. I remember when I was pregnant with my son, I had to use the bathroom like every 15 minutes. That boy sure knew how to dance on my bladder! If I didn’t make it in time, well, I’m sure you know how that goes! A cough, a sneeze or even a funny joke made things come out when they should be staying in!

Years later, I dealt with similar issues, except not because I was pregnant. See, I had a uterus that isn’t the size it’s supposed to be. There was a giant honking fibroid sitting right on top of it! I also had adenomysosis, which is basically endometriosis inside your uterus. I say “had” because back in May, I underwent surgery to have the whole “baby house” yanked.

One of the symptoms of fibroids on your uterus involves challenges when it comes to your bladder. Those fibroids interfere with your proper bladder function in some cases. While I tended to deal with issues involving a feeling that I was never finished going, there were time when the opposite was true.

Now that I had a hysterectomy, I worry about that my bladder will eventually “fall,” which can cause light bladder leakage. It happened to my mom, although she was a bit older than me when she had her hysterectomy.

Whether you’re at the start of your childbearing years or the end, SAM is going to be your new best friend.

SAM: Your new best friend for dealing with light bladder leakage

We don’t always talk about it, but just about everyone woman I know has experienced light bladder leakage at some point in their lives. In fact, one in three women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL). Most women rely on feminine care products-or nothing at all-to manage those leaks because they don’t think incontinence products are for them. The new Poise Microliner is the perfect solution for those who just need light protection.

What is the Poise Microliner?

It’s your ticket to confidence! It’s a superthin liner that protects against LBL issues, letting you run, dance or just go shopping while pregnant with confidence. Just who- or what- is SAM? Well, that stands for Super Absorbent Material, which is exactly what you’ll find in Poise Microliners. That material works hard to keep you dry and comfortable all day long. It’s designed to absorb wetness, neutralize odor and stay three times drier than period liners.

Just look how super-thin the Poise Microliner is! While it looks and feels like it’s barely there, I tested it out with water to see how it holds up. I think I poured way more than you’d find with light bladder leakage, and still it absorbed right away. I ran my finger across the top and it was relatively dry, meaning it won’t give you an icky feeling while you’re wearing it.

I paid around $7 for a box of 50, so they’re definitely reasonably priced!

  1. I guess that time in life, has come for me. I will try the “Poise” brand as they look so thin. Thank You :)

These microliners are amazing. They hold more than you think. I got my samples. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I’m lucky because, even after 3 boys, I don’t have this issue! But I’m glad there are things out there like this for the many women that do!

  4. Interesting information…I haven’t experienced a light bladder leakage before…well, maybe except for not being able to pee during a roadtrip… and laughing too hard…and maybe having a tiny accident…but other than that…I’ll keep these in mind for when I get to that point.
