First Winter Storm in Montreal

January is a very cold month in Montreal. Temperatures varies between -10 C to -25. By this time of the year we usually have a lot of snow on the ground. But this year, the snow fall was scarce! We managed to have a white Christmas though. On January 12th, we had our first winter storm. We had around 25 cm of snow fall over 2 days! It was good for skiers but really bad for drivers!

The picture below was taken on January 12th during the snow fall. It was at lunch time, the streets were empty! The driving conditions were not safe because we had a mix of snow and freezing rain which makes the road very slippery!

The streets are empty! People stayed home, except me!

This is what I love about winter: The combination of white and green.
