Forrest Gump
I’m not sure if everyone would qualify Forrest Gump as a romantic movie, but in my books, it’s one of the best. Follow delightful Forrest’s journey through amazing historical events, all while he maintains his devotion to his one true love, Jenny. Literally my favorite movie ever, and one that makes me Ugly Cry every single time!
Say Anything
A quintessential eighties movie, without the cheesiness factor of most of the genre. This a fabulous story about Lloyd Dobler getting the girl of his dreams, Diane Court, to go to an end of the year high school senior party with him and their ensuing romance as the summer unfolds. Do you remember that final summer before everyone went their separate ways after high school? A tear-jerker of a story, told and acted beautifully by John Cusack and Ione Skye. Rent Say Anything on Amazon Video!
Love Actually
A romantic movie, that just also happens to be a Christmas movie? Yes, please! Love Actually is a movie that I watch every Christmas and Valentine’s Day (seriously, I am that person), and weaves the tales of the film’s many characters into a wonderful web of drama, comedy and of course: romance. Try not to get too choked up when you watch it! You can buy Love Actually or watch it free with a Showtime subscription

Silver Linings Playbook
A really fabulous story about Pat and Tiffany (played by Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence): two characters who are so realistic in their imperfections and flaws that they are relatable as they are likeable. A wonderful movie from start to finish, this one is not to be missed. Rent it from Amazon!
The Notebook
Based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, this wonderful movie has become a classic. Following the story of a poor yet passionate young man (Ryan Gosling), and the upper-class young woman he falls in love with (Rachel McAdams), The Notebook is pretty much guaranteed to have you sobbing into your popcorn – while loving every minute of it, of course! Watch The Notebook on Amazon!
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
After undergoing a procedure to have their memories of each other erased, married couple Clementine and Joel realize just how much they have to be thankful for. A quirky and brilliant film starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, it is a must-see! Rent it on Amazon.
There’s nothing like love to get you into the Valentine’s Day spirit. With this list of wonderful romantic movies, why not watch one (or all) of them this Valentine’s Day!
I’ve watched all except one of these so that will be my pick this year. I can’t wait to watch it, I’m sure I’ll love it. Now to plan the menu.
Great list of movies! But, I think you must also include THE VOW, it’s a really heartwarming movie!
I absolutely love Say Anything. I was a huge John Cusack fan at the time. I would love to see that one again.
I love silver linings playbook. I would love to re-watch this with my hubby on Valentines. What a great idea.
Love all these movie selections. Had watched a few of them before but probably going to catch up watching Love Actually.
Great selections. I also love When Harry Met Sally, It Happened One Night, and Sleepless in Seattle. A couple of new favorites include What If and Sleeping With Other People.
