Just in time for the holidays, we will have a funny movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. It is an upcoming comedy movie that is set to be released in theaters on December 18, 2015. The movie is directed by Walt Becker, is written by Randi Mayem Singer and is set to be released in theaters by 20th Century Fox. The movie was filmed in the state of Georgia. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip is rated PG for some mild rude humor, with a runtime of 1 hour and 26 minutes. The movie is about the adventurous 3-day road trip that Alvin, Simon and Theodore take. There was a series of misunderstandings that lead the Chipmunks to believe that since Dave is going to ask his new girlfriend to marry him, he will dump them. So, they set out to stop Dave from proposing, saving their relationship with Dave and possibly avoiding inheriting a new step-brother.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip Movie Trivia:
This is the 4th movie to hit theaters in the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. The other three movies were Alvin and the Chipmunks in 2007, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel in 2009 and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked from 2011.
The previous three Chipmunk films starred David Cross playing the role of Ian Hawke, Dave’s boos. However, this is the first film that doesn’t have the role of Ian.
Amy Poehler voiced the role of Eleanor in both Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. However, in this movie, the role of Eleanor is voiced by Kaley Cuoco.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip is being released in the United States the same day as Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Oh cool, I didn’t know there was a new movie out! My kids love the Chipmunks!
My sons saw the trailer for this last week. They are already harassing me that they can’t wait to go see it.
I don’t have young kids anymore but I have a gazillion nieces and nephews that would love to see this.

You know, I LOVED the Chipmunks while growing up, but I”ve yet to see any of their movies. They look cute and adorable, and I just haven’t found time to watch them cause trouble! Maybe I’ll finally get to see one of their movies with the nephew. :)
It’s good to see another movie from the Chipmunks. When I introduced them to my kids they loved them.
